The Radiology Department

Radiological services still remains an integral and very important part of modern medicine. The science of medical imaging is used to confirm the suspected diagnosis of clinicians, to make a diagnosis where one has not yet been made, and to follow the progress of treatment during the cause of management. Generally, and for Police Hospital in particular, Radiological services will normally be a prerequisite for the appropriate and successful treatment of at least a quarter of all patients.

More than 50% of all medical imaging can be performed using basic X-ray and or simple ultrasound equipment.

Scope of Work (Service Rendered)

The scope of work in the department currently includes:

  • Plain radiography/Film reporting
  • Ultrasonography
  • Mammography
Operating Hours

Police personnel and their dependents, suspects, accident victims and unknown persons

Those who do not have NHIS cards and who also do not fall under the above category
