The Accident and Emergency department serves as a critical hub for immediate medical and surgical care. Headed by Supt/Dr. (Med) Kofi Nyina Amoah, this equipped facility is staffed by dedicated healthcare professionals who are available around the clock to provide emergency medical services to Police personnel, the local community and surrounding areas.

- Emergency Care Services
The department offers a wide range of emergency medical services, including treatment for injuries, acute illnesses, and life-threatening conditions.
It is staffed by a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including an Anesthesiologist, Medical officers, specialist emergency nursing team, paramedics, and support staff who are trained to handle various emergencies.
The department is equipped with modern medical equipment, including diagnostic tools, resuscitation units, and trauma care facilities to ensure prompt and effective care. Additionally a theater with a recovery ward and a high dependency unit when completed will add to the armamentarium of the unit.
- Triage System
A triage system (SATS) is in place to assess the severity of patients’ conditions and prioritize care accordingly. This system helps ensure that the most critical cases receive immediate attention.
The hospital maintains a fleet of well-equipped ambulances for rapid response and transportation of patients from the scene of an emergency to the hospital when needed
The unit also collaborates with local emergency services, law enforcement, and neighboring healthcare facilities to provide seamless emergency care and referrals.E
